Epic Pass:

- Unlimited access to all Vail group's resorts (and some Alps and Japan resorts)
*** Best if you want to ski Alps and Janan

Epic Local Pass:

- $579 (Get 6 Buddy Tickets When You Buy Before 4/12)
- With some blackout dates and without international resorts
*** Best if you want to ski the best resorts in Vail group

Tahoe Local Pass:

- $479 (Including 5 days at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City ...)
- Unlimited access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood
*** Best if you ski Lake Tahoe often

MAX Pass:
- https://www.themaxpass.com/
- $699
- 5 days each at 22 mountains across North America with no blackout days
*** Those resorts are much less attractive as Vail's resorts

Rocky Mountain Super Pass:

- $469
- Winter Park, Copper Mountain, Steamboat, ... etc.
*** Those resorts are mid size ones

Mountain Collective:
- http://mountaincollective.com/
- $369
- Access to some of the best ski resorts in North America (only 2 days each with 50% off all additional days)
*** Need to have enought vacation days and take many trip to ski them all

CONCLUSION -
If you are planning to ski both Japan and Alps, get the Epic Pass.
Otherwise, if you have want to ski Vail's resorts without going international, get the Epic Local Pass.
If you live in Bay Area, get Tahoe Local Pass.
MAX Pass is too expensive for skiing those second or third tier resorts with unrealistic ski day count.
Rocky Mountain Super Pass is in good price to ski those second tier resorts.
Mountain Collective is good if you can take many ski trips in the season.
IMHO, about the resort ranking, Epic and Mountain Collective are the best.  If you can take two or more ski trips, and if you never skied the west before, Epic Local Pass is the one.
