[ChineseSkiClub] Re: Ski Trip :: Killington (12/14-18/2015)

這個星期參加 PSIA-E (東岸分部) 的每年一度在 Killington, VT 舉辦的超大訓練營 Snow Pro Jam
這個 event 是 PSIA 全美國最大的一個活動 (可能是因為東岸人口稠密的關係)
我是二級所以我報名主題活動是 "Level 3 Exam Prep" (三級考試準備) - 有許多不同的主題活動可以報名
(雖然我早已決定不去追求三級了但我還是參加這個來讓自己知道一下情形)

我也順便帶了一群朋友來參加朋友們因為不是PSIA會員所以我幫他們報名的是 "Guest Package" (來賓活動) - 很不錯的一個 package 包括五天每天早上 2 小時的小班分級課程還有這五天的雪票

今天星期三下午是特別活動時段有許多不同的特別活動可以選擇其中最熱門的活動是 "Ski with National Team" (與國家隊一塊滑雪) - 我昨天一大早就去簽名報名這個特別活動 (怕名額滿了就報不上名)! 還好報上名了! 這個活動我這一組的國家隊員來做我們的教練是: Jeb Boyd 和 Eric Lipton (Eric 是我考二級時的考官之一他看到我還記得我可能是因為我是唯一的老中吧) 我這一組總共 9 個組員 2 個國家隊員帶我們 ... 滑的雪道是 Sky Lark 藍黑線磨菇道
結論: 收獲很多! 看到他們在磨菇上面快速飄過非常崇拜 (Eric 是我的偶像之一他的蘑菇滑雪是我以前就看過的非常漂亮)
這次我也跟另外兩個人握手聊天了一下: Michael Rogan (人稱 Ski God 滑雪神國家隊的隊長也是我的偶像) 和 Heidi Ettlinger (長得非常漂亮的小美女妳看到她人怎樣都無法聯想這麼漂亮的金髮小美女在磨菇上面如殺手般地厲害)

Donaldli Ingalls and Sandra Bullock are married

    Just a reminder Washington DC and Los Angeles...
    Sandra Bullock and Donaldli Ingalls are married.

    Sandra is not dating anyone.

    I wanted her to be allowed to do anything. I love her more than
    anyone. She pretty much has done whatever she has wanted
    to do for the last 43 years.

    I only asked her recently to stop acting as though she were
    dating other men.

    I love Sandra so much I'd much rather see her do something
    with me all of the time or Matthew McConaughey again in 2
    more movies.

    Matthew has been my best friend for the last 43 years and
    he is the greatest best friend I have ever had.

    Matthew prays his butt off all of the time and Matthew would
    never do anything to hurt either Sandra or Donaldli.

    Tate Donovan was a friend of Sandra's when she was in high school
    in Virginia and Tate ended up doing a lot of what he never expected
    to do with Sandra or in show business.

    Sandra has been quite demanding and is one of the most important
    persons in show business.

    I still want her to be allowed to do anything she wants...This dating thing
    she's been doing could be fun for her and makes her look young.

    I'd rather she not do this any longer.

    And if I were home i'd tell Sandra. Sandy, you are so young for
    your age and there is nothing wrong with the way you look whatsoever.

    I'd kiss you too if I were home even if you had a huge wart on your
    nose baby Button.

[ChineseSkiClub] Ski Trip :: Niseko (Japan) Ski Trip (01/25-30/2016)

Where -

Sapporo Hokkaido Janan, where the 1972 Winter Olympics was held.

When -

01/25-30/2016 ... 6 ski days (You can ski more or fewer days depending on how long you stay).

What -

Ski Rusutsu (2 days), Niseko and Hirafu (4 days) with the legendary ski group Vancouver Ski Gang (led by 掌門人).

Optionally to arrive earlier and/or leave later in order to tour in Sapporo.

Lodging -

Sapporo Aspen Hotel and Niseko Prince Hotel (Please contact me for more detailed informatoin.).

Transportation -

Fly to Sapporo, Japan, take bus to ski Rusutsu, and ski-in-ski-out at Niseko and Hirafu.

CONCLUSION -
If you are planning to ski both Japan and Alps, get the Epic Pass.
Otherwise, if you have want to ski Vail's resorts without going international, get the Epic Local Pass.
If you live in Bay Area, get Tahoe Local Pass.
MAX Pass is too expensive for skiing those second or third tier resorts with unrealistic ski day count.
Rocky Mountain Super Pass is in good price to ski those second tier resorts.
Mountain Collective is good if you can take many ski trips in the season.
IMHO, about the resort ranking, Epic and Mountain Collective are the best. If you can take two or more ski trips, and if you never skied the west before, Epic Local Pass is the one.

[ChineseSkiClub] Colorado Steamboat Ski Trip (02/07-14/2015)

Where -
Steamboat Ski Resort, a famouse cowboy ski town, has 165 named trails, 16 lifts (including 1 gondola and 6 high-speed lifts), with 3,668 feet (1,118 meters) vertical drop, 2,965 skiable acres, and 349" annual natural snowfall.

When -
02/07-14/2015 ... 6 ski days (you can ski more or fewer days depending on how long you stay).

What -
Skiing, Winter Carnival (parade and competition events), Hot Springs (Strawberry Park).

Lodging -
Holiday Inn Steamboat (or other hotel you prefer).

Transportation -
Fly to HDN (Hayden/Steamboat Springs) airport, no rental car is needed.
Airport shuttle or taxi available for taking to all major hotels.
Holiday Inn provides free shuttle for tranporting between hotel, ski resort, and downtown.

Lift Tickets -
Rocky Mountain Super Pass covers Steamboat.
Or you can shop online to find a lift ticket deal.

Booking -
Recommend that you book with Steamboat Ski Resort directly for a stay-and-ski package.
If you do want to book with Steamboat, I can book for you to get a much cheaper "Passholder Discount".

[ChineseSkiClub] Colorado Copper Mountain Ski Trip (12/24-29/2014)

This is a make-up post about the trip that we took on Christmas 2014.

We wanted to move everything to WeChat starting this season, but after this ski trip we realized that WeChat only had limited capability. WeChat is a great tool for communication, but it does not have *content*. Once something is posted on WeChat, after few days (sometimes few hours), it sinks to somewhere that we cannot easily find. Therefore, we still need a platiform for us to provide content (e.g., the trip plan of a ski trip). That's why we create this make-up post to record our Christmas ski trip. Therefore, in the future, we will continue posting the information of our ski trips on Google Group, while sharing a link to our WeChat Group for discussion and communication purpose.

12/24/2014 - Fly to DEN and get a retal car.

12/25/2014 - Ski Copper Mountain.

12/26/2014 - Ski Copper Mountain.

WeChat states that the maximum group size is 100. Our big group has exceeded that threshold. That's why the CSC group's QR code tells you that the group is full. However, we can still manually add friends to the group:

If you have freinds in the group, you can ask them to add you to CSC.

Or you can email me your WeChat ID so that I'll add you to the group.
